What will you do as a Finance Manager?

  • This senior finance role requires the successful candidate to lead and manage the full financial cycle
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the finance department
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, detailed financial forecasts, and internal financial reports.
  • Support and manage budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal financial policies/controls.
  • Manage robust month-end and year-end processes, including complex reconciliations and accruals.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support critical business decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance financial controls.

 What do you need as a Finance Manager?

  • Fully qualified accountant (Essential): ACA / ACCA / CIMA or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior/supervisory finance role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and a deep understanding of financial controls.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Must be highly organised, detail-oriented, and consistently able to meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, financial modelling) and proficiency with various financial systems/ERPs.
