What will you do as a Finance Manager?
- This senior finance role requires the successful candidate to lead and manage the full financial cycle
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the finance department
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, detailed financial forecasts, and internal financial reports.
- Support and manage budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal financial policies/controls.
- Manage robust month-end and year-end processes, including complex reconciliations and accruals.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support critical business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance financial controls.
What do you need as a Finance Manager?
- Fully qualified accountant (Essential): ACA / ACCA / CIMA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior/supervisory finance role.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and a deep understanding of financial controls.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Must be highly organised, detail-oriented, and consistently able to meet deadlines.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, financial modelling) and proficiency with various financial systems/ERPs.
