An established wholesaling business is looking to recruit a Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join the team. A newly created, part-time role offering flexibility and the opportunity to develop alongside the business.  Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. As this is a new role, responsibilities may evolve depending on your experience.

What will you do as an Accounts Assistant?

  • Generating monthly sales reports and detailed sales data
  • Providing sales data to suppliers
  • Raising invoices to suppliers
  • Monitoring payments received from suppliers
  • Raising credits and generating payments to customers
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Supporting the accounts team with ad hoc tasks as required

 

What do you need as an Accounts Assistant?

  • Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (essential)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good computer literacy (training provided on in-house accounting software)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team player
