Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant

London (Office-based with Hybrid option after probation)
£25,000 – £35,000 DOE + Bonus

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller or Accounts Assistant seeking a stable career.

What will you do as a Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant?

  • Proactive Debt Collection: Contacting wholesale customers (B2B) to ensure the timely payment of invoices.
  • Managing customer account queries and maintaining excellent client communication.
  • Accounts Receivable Management.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping and double-entry accounting
  • Reconciling accounts and supporting efficient month-end reporting.
  • Using (or learning) Sage accounting software to process financial transactions and maintain records.
  • Supporting wider finance and administrative functions within the business.

 

What you need as a Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant?

  • Proven Experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Assistant role, ideally within a wholesale or B2B environment.
  • A confident and professional telephone manner for effective debt collection.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • An understanding of basic bookkeeping and double-entry accounting.
  • Working knowledge of Sage software (a significant advantage but not essential).
  • A foreign language skill (Italian preferred) would be beneficial for the company’s trade customer base.
  • The individual should be well-presented, reliable, and a strong team player with a proactive approach to solving finance issues.
