Our Team

We started TMRG with the intention of creating a simple, effective and professional recruitment group that we would choose to use ourselves. Our focus is on delivering a quality, professional recruitment service to our Clients and Candidates – it’s what we do and it’s who we are. We don’t claim to do anything different we just aim to do it better.

Our team are experienced professionals in their own sectors of Marketing, Sales, Business Services and Finance. We offer career counselling, CV advice hints and tips, as well as constructive guidance on interview techniques. Our recruitment experience is second to none and each member of our team will always go above and beyond to ensure we deliver a seamless and professional service. We demonstrate our values of open mindedness, honesty and commitment in the care and attention we provide to each and every assignment we work on.

An illustrious career in recruitment? Something that was said to me very recently and when I look back its certainly been a career of peaks, troughs and “here we go again”!! I have built and sold several recruitment businesses over the years and have been fortunate to surround myself with very talented people who make me look better! Every time I’ve said that’s it, I find myself back doing it again. It’s a people thing!  We spend a lot of time getting to know our clients and candidates. It takes a very special type of person who can get under the skin of a business and candidates, to find out what makes them tick, the recruiters at TMRG are those very special people.

I have spent many years in recruitment and throughout my time have recruited pretty much everything and anything, including opportunities to build several recruitment businesses.  Recruitment has changed dramatically over the years and has given me an incredibly interesting and varied career, working with amazing recruiters, some of whom are now also lifelong friends. We have built something really special at TMRG – we have a family feel, we are relaxed but have a great purpose, and it’s working.  I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved so far with still so much more to do.

Originally from Botswana I moved to the UK for more opportunities at college.  After college I decided to head straight into work and get professional experience over university, from database cleansing to now marketing executive. I have never been afraid to start a new opportunity and chase what interests me most.  After working in e-commerce for 2 years it was time to move on, something in social media and marketing.  I was approached by Jo and had a few conversations with her and a few interviews later I was given an opportunity to be part of the team, I could not resist! I’m only looking forward from here…

After meeting Andy and Jo in my interview, I just knew I would love to join the team!! I am the girl in the background, making sure that the recruiters’ jobs are made easier!

I started working in recruitment over 20 years ago and during the last 10 years have worked predominantly in IT positions advising on, and implementing hardware, software and digital presence strategies for a number of recruitment companies. I am happiest with my head stuck in a laptop or server, or doing some late night coding on my latest web project.

Marketing

The Marketing Recruitment Group was the initial business set up with Jo Faria, Nofa Zahreddine and Zinia Bain on 3rd September 2016. Zinia was with us for our initial start-up then left us to have our first “TMRG baby” in December 2016. However, we are delighted to say she has recently returned to the fold.
Following our success in the Marketing arena, we developed a very strong client and candidate base which allowed us the opportunity to successfully launch three new divisions, Sales (2018), Business Services (2019) and Finance and Accounting (2020).
Nofa specialises in all aspects of marketing recruitment across a wide variety of roles including; Digital, Ecommerce, PR, Communications, CRM Nofa has extensive experience in digital and Marketing Recruitment she understands what you do and knows the right questions to ask, and for clients is quickly able to present the right candidates to help you to achieve your marketing objectives.

I have a creative background, which is how my career began. I soon found that I was enjoying the sales side of my role more and more. I knew that I wanted to marry the creative with the sales aspect and decided to go into marketing recruitment. Throughout the past 3 years I have dedicated my career to getting to know the ins and outs of marketing, digital and communications. During this period I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know marketers, understanding their strengths and placing them in roles that allow them to progress and achieve.

Sales

Our incredibly talented Sales Division is headed up by Kim Barnes. Kim has been with us since the launch of this division which is growing from strength to strength. Kim has recently taken on the mantle of Manager and is now growing her team by mentoring and coaching consultants to work alongside her. We can offer this speciality due to the diverse nature of the teams experiences. Recruitment can be stressful for all parties; however, we look to alleviate those pressures in a consultative manner by offering advice, guidance and support every step of the way.

With over 12 years of sales experience growing global accounts, implementing effective marketing and managing high performing sales teams & strategies across the UK, Middle East and GCC, I am now loving using that knowledge and experience in the Recruitment world. Within a week of relocating back to the UK, I started my first day in recruitment with TMRG…and what a rollercoaster it has been since! From building the sales division and my desk from scratch to my first ever placement, from building strong relationships with my candidates and clients to now building my team and seeing them grow from strength to strength – it is fair to say, I have found my forever home here at TMRG and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

After working within retail talent acquisition, I quickly learned that my passion lay within the recruitment side of things! And so, in I strolled to the TMRG, not realising what was in store for me. I love a challenge and that was exactly what it was! I ran through the fire to the other side (stumbling a few times of course) but I couldn’t possibly love my job any more than I do now. As well as finding the perfect match for both candidate and client alike all day every day, I get to work with the most phenomenal group of people. I cannot wait to see what we can achieve.

Business Services

Business Services Division was launched in August 2019 with the appointment of Emma Smith as Manager. Emma has over 15 years of recruitment experience across multiple sectors and locations within the West Midlands.  She has a passion for providing a first-class service to both candidates and clients and a reputation for delivering exceptional results. We started this division due to demands from an extremely loyal client base.

I started my career in Recruitment in 2004, I went to register with an agency, and they offered me a position.  So, 15 years’ later bags of experience recruiting everything in all sectors during this time.  The last 11 years have been recruiting HR and Operational Business Services to Director level.  Prior to this I recruited into the Event and Hospitality Sector. I am proud to say I only work with clients that I truly believe in their vision and brand. I am a firm believer that we should not settle for a job but find an employer that offers the career that you want. I think of myself as an extension of my client’s recruitment process and listen to make the perfect match.

Finance & Accounting

Zinia, a founder of the TMRG business has returned from maternity leave to launch this specialist division. She has over a decade of experience recruiting Finance and Accounting staff for a diverse client base in the Manufacturing, Engineering, Service, and Retail sectors as well as Public Practice. Again, we have moved into this heavily congested market due to demand from our existing clients who felt they were not receiving the ‘TMRG service’ from the more established brands.

I love to talk and am a people person so a career in recruitment was the perfect match for me. I really enjoy finding out about the individual behind the CV and what a business is really looking for when they say “the right person”, I strive to make the very best match possible for all involved. Over the last 16 years in recruitment I have worked across different sectors however I always come back to Finance and Accounting. I appreciate the candidate’s investment to achieve the desired qualifications and see the value this adds to any business. I love food and will try just about anything once, I have recently started to show a keen interest in gardening and am quickly becoming obsessed but nowhere near as obsessed as I am with keeping a clean house – my car not so much (note to self must try harder).
